Charles Heidsieck Rosé Vintage 2005
Charles Heidsieck Rosé Vintage 2005
This is one of the most award-winning vintage rosé champagnes in the world, Charles Heidsieck Rosé Millésime spends a minimum of eight years ageing on the lees in two-thousand-year-old chalk cellars. It is made from a selection of around fifteen Crus throughout Champagne. The grapes which contribute the red wine content originate from Ambonnay, Bouzy, Hautvillers, Les Riceys and Verzenay. The delicate effervescence reveals the aromatic complexity of this blended rosé which is famed for its incredible harmony and depth.
The weather in 2005 was warm. It was a year without complications. An early heatwave in June encouraged flowering, followed by moderate rainfall throughout summer and another heatwave in early September. The heat and rain developed berries rich in sugar and with high acidity levels, rendering 2005 an ideal year to blend a vintage.

Charles Heidsieck Rose Millesime 2005 Vintage Champagne 75cl is a great reflection of the 2005 harvest. Thanks to the sunlight during the year, the 2005 Rose took its time to mature, developing a generous angular structure that, over the years, became full bodied and radiant. After spending over 10 years on the lees, the wine has fulfilled its promise, redolent and powerful with excellent aging potential.
